Tanja Schmidt has been working in the localization industry for more than 8 years now. After graduating from Saarland University in Saarbrücken, Germany, she started working as a freelance translator and copywriter for small and medium businesses as well as translation agencies in the Saarbrücken area.

In 2010, she joined Welocalize’s German headquarters in Saarbrücken as a Language Specialist and then moved to her role of German Language & Quality Manager, leading Welocalize’s German in-house translation team.

Since May 2016, Tanja is part of Welocalize’s Technology Solutions Team, organizing and managing machine translation programs for the company’s European clients. Tanja is a welcome guest and speaker at university conferences and international industry events like Localization World and others.
